Myrmidon OSR RPG

Myrmidon, set within an ancient/late bronze age setting, is a hack of the OSR toolkit Knave, fleshed out with modified rules from Old School Essentials.

Myrmidon seeks to provide:

• OSR Compatibility: If you have a library of OSR bestiaries, adventure and spell books, little or no conversion is needed to use them with Myrmidon. 
• Familiar d20, 6 attribute gameplay;
• Classless characters and equipment-as-class style play; characters are differentiated by their equipment and by their Kits - inventory-occupying gear, rituals, and the like that provide various effects at the cost of inventory slots;
• A simple injury system - characters may not die, but will be marred.
• Adapted overland and sea travel rules;
• Knave's inventory-based magic system;
• Magical Mishap system for when casting goes wrong;
• Optional species to provide character diversity;
• Hexploratores: Myrmidon was written to be used with the Hexploratores OSR hexcrawl supplements.
• A word version of the game, for easy modification.  The game borrows from OGL sources, and so requires OGL publication, and attribution credits listed near the start of the document.
