DevLog 2 - Character Basics

Those familiar with 5 Parsecs and its family of games will see little new here.  I have become a big fan of characters at their core being very simple - a starting character should be be able to be generated in about a minute, and notated on a scrap of paper.  Here, we have three "active" stats that are used in checks, a fourth passive stat used to assess damage, and then individual quirks of characters in traits.  Traits are a great tool to allow for more complexity - instead of having a number of complex different stats and skills, you can carve out traits however needed to reflect different archetypes of features as needed for the level of crunch you are seeking.

This simplicity is more important in the context of managing several characters like this game intends.

See the SRD for the full draft to date.
